A good quality knife, fork, spoon set (KFS) that clips into a clasp that also is a can opener.

The biggest asset of this set is the spoon. It's actually worth buying for the spoon alone as it is the perfect racing spoon.

It has a broad head which isn't too deep and it also gets into the corners of the 'boil in the bag' bags. It has a wide handle which makes it good for use with gloves or cold hands.

Like all good military spoons it is also easily cleaned by licking it and wiping it on your sleeve. Certainly miles better than the ones you nick out of the cookhouse / galley.
